Cappuccino Home, Mumbai

Designed remotely. Built with care.

1. The brief

A client based abroad. A home purchased in Mumbai during lockdown. A request to design it remotely, with full creative freedom.

We began.

2. Working across distance

He visited five times. Approvals, material selections, progress checks. Between visits — weekly updates, photographs, decisions made across time zones.

Most of the project existed, for him, as images on a screen. The space was real to me long before it was real to him.

3. The design

Warm neutrals, curved forms, arched transitions. A home designed to feel considered from every angle — balanced between openness and intimacy, simplicity and detail.

Vastu informed the planning. The furniture followed the architecture. Nothing competed.

Form and function held in quiet balance.

"The space was real to me long before it was real to him."

4. The fifth visit

The fifth time he came, the house was finished. He saw it complete for the first time.

Some moments don't need describing.
